This Saturday was officially the first-ever Saturday session spent in the brand-new computer lab and library! It was a pretty chill day, but we went through a lot of discoveries that I would like to share with you in this post by using the Rose (good), Thorn (negative), and Bud (developing) method. As we have more sessions, I will update you on our progress.
🌹 Roses:
There was constant excitement.
The room was not hot since we have ACs (at one point, it actually got too cold!).
There was much more excitement when it came to reading and learning.
🌵 Thorns:
It is harder to get attention with the new layout because desks cover students' faces, and some of the students are all the way at the back.
There were not enough chairs for the number of students who came today (so we got extra chairs).
It was a little too packed at the back area where the round table and bookshelf are.
🌷 Buds:
We will be experimenting with a new teaching style starting this Saturday to adapt to the new space.
We may start short IT lessons at the beginning of some sessions to incorporate new learning.
The idea of getting a new batch of students is still in the works.
Thank you for reading! Stay tuned for the next post, and make sure to give this post a like and check out the pictures and videos from today!
