A fun workout in the middle of a usual lesson? Sounds like a good day to me!
Last week, we had the opportunity to be joined by a gym instructor, assembler, nutritionist, and beloved uncle: Mr. Jude.
The lesson started off normally. We did a short recap on what we learned (or at least tried to learn) last week, which was surprisingly regular. I expected most of the answers to be all about the Legos, but it was more about the usual things like spelling tests and storybooks. That made me question: do they actually remember what happened last week, or do they just mention the usual things and hope we actually did them? That question slowly faded away once the discussion about Legos arose after somebody mentioned it. Every team was eagerly sharing the name of their creation with Mr. Jude and Mama, and giggles still filled the classroom when we looked back at how funny the presentations were.
Afterwards, we finished up with the storybook from last week: Bahiya, the Little Zebra by Nahida Esmail. We really enjoyed the story and related to the moral — a 10/10 read! Then we did… try to guess. If you guessed the spelling test, you're right! Hey, maybe we do have a bit of a repetitive schedule, but so far, it's been working well!
It was after the spelling test, however, that the real fun started! Mr. Jude got up and introduced himself and what he does, and then we quickly scrambled our way out the door onto the front pitch. Everybody spaced out, and Mr. Jude led a basic stretch. I found it both funny and wholesome seeing everybody stretch so passionately and nearly overdo the simple instructions given. Afterwards, they even asked Mr. Jude to do more!
We ended off our day with some sentence making and a nice snack.
Thank you, Mr. Jude, for visiting and giving us a fun time!

I loved the session. I will definitely be back
Fun, fun day! We should bring back Mr. Jude often 😃
