A Typical Not-So-Typical Day (21/06/25)

A second try at the infamous “Board Race” and a visit from Gaia’s family made today extra special.
Finally, the Nutella providers got to meet the Nutella consumers 😅. In my opinion, today was one of the ‘chill’ days at TBR — no storybook, extended game time, attentive students — one of my favorite types of days. But I can’t credit the laid-back vibe to just me and my box of lollipops, of course! Along with being joined by Gaia’s family and my family, we had two other very helpful guests: Selli and Michaela (both family friends, both great at being leaders).
Though the bitter realization of this being the last time I’ll see Gaia’s family (until I make a trip to Italy 😉) and this meeting being the penultimate (last but one) TBR meeting Gaia will have, the sweetness came in as I shared lollipops with everyone in the class and caught the smiles of Gaia and her father. TBR is where memories are harvested and community is fostered — and I will always be proud of that!
